The simple act of creating a character for use in an Role Play Game such as Dungeons & Dragons offers numerous opportunities for clients and clinicians to delve into the self perceptions of the client, identify strengths, clarify therapeutic goals and explore identity. This session will review pertinent research on character creation, present several case study examples and provide hands-on opportunities for participants to experience the use of character creation as a form of client engagement, assessment and goal setting.

Learning Objectives
1. Identify various ways that RPG character creation can be used in therapeutic settings.
2. Demonstrate the use of character creation as a tool for problem identification, strengths assessment and goal setting.
3. Illustrate the benefits of using simple character creation tools in therapeutic settings
